After taking over Director SKIMS, Dr. Mandeep K Bhandari, IAS, Secretary to Govt, Health & Medical Education Department took stock of the situation of the functioning and ongoing works at SKIMS. The introductory/ review meeting was convened to review the functioning of various departments of SKIMS. He took review of the various departments and deliberated upon the various issues. He directed the officers of administration and other departments to take the work of hospital work with missionary zeal. He also reviewed the patient care facilities in the hospital.

He directed Additional Director & Ex-Offico Special Secretary to Govt to consolidate the issues concerning various departments/wings and submit the report for further necessary action within two days. He physically visited and inspected various departments and discussed procedures and steps required to be undertaken, with Medical and Paramedical staff. He stressed the need to complete the ongoing projects in a time bound manner.

He also heard the  issues from employees and assured cary  consideration for  redressal of grievances. He focused on the need for being extremely responsive towards patient care needs and to ensure their comfort and timely redressal of their problems.

The Director SKIMS was accompanied by Mr. Hafeez Ullah Shah, Addl. Director & EOSSG, Dr. Altaf Kirmani, Dean Medical Faculty, Dr. Farooq A Jan, Medical Superintendent, Er. Mohammad Sultan Najar, Chief Engineer and other members of administration and faculty.
