SKIMS Conducted “Nutrition Awareness Program”

Srinagar 16th Nov. 2021: Department of Dietetics and Therapeutic SKIMS in collaboration with Neutracentrical Wellness conducted a day long awareness program in SKIMS. Director SKIMS & Ex-Officio Secretary to Government, Chief Guest on the occasion appreciated the Organizers for the initiative that, he said, is a need of the hour as the awareness about nutrition is of critical importance in maintaining healthy lifestyle. He also thanked Neutracentrical Wellness Organization who collaborated with SKIMS for their outreach program.

Head Department of Dietetics and Therapeutics Ms. Shahana Qureshi in her address emphasized the importance of nutrition at all stages of life. She also detailed out the activities of the Department. She said the Department also played an important role in COVID management as the food was made available to each and every COVID patient as well the attendants, Professional work force and others.

Mr. Irfan Tak and Shahista Latief, Members Neutracentrical Wellness gave presentation in which they highlighted the importance of Nutrition in Current lifestyle emphasizing that Nutrition is of utmost significance besides its Medical profile.

The experts who gave presentation on various topics unanimously underscored the importance of balanced and optimal nutrition for all age groups particularly the youngsters who are the future of race on the planet.

The event was attended by Faculty and Students and Officers from supportive services of SKIMS and all others concerned from outside.
