PRESS RELEASE “SKIMS Celebrates International Yoga Day”
June 21, 2022: The Department of Community Medicine SKIMS celebrated the International Day of Yoga on 21st June 2022 at CHC Sumbal. On this occasion, a training program was held at the aforementioned Health Centre, in which ASHAS from the Block received training on basics of Yoga.
The resource persons on this occasion were Dr. Rauf ur Rashid Koul, Dr. Shimyla, Dr. Muzaffer and Yoga Trainer Mrs. Shahista.
Dr. Rauf emphasized the importance of yoga in health and disease. This was followed by a practical demonstration of various asanas by the yoga trainer Mrs. Shahista.
