Srinagar 22/5/2013: Department of Orthopaedics SKIMS Medical College Bemina is organizing 32nd Annual Conference of North Zone Chapter of Indian Orthopaedic Association from 31stMay to 2nd June 2013 at SKICC Srinagar.
Director & EOSG, SKIMS Dr. Showkat A. Zargar has complimented the department of Orthopaedics for hosting the conference. Such programs are of great importance where reputed medical professionals get a chance to interact and deliberate on new medical practices and allow participants across to have issues addressed on a specific topic by recognized experts in the field who are abreast with latest developments in the field, he added.
Organizer of the conference Dr. Naseer Ahmad Mir said, the conference will be preceded by pre-conference workshop on Shoulder Arthroscopy and live surgeries will be conducted and beamed from main operation theatre to SKIMS auditorium for young Orthopaedic surgeons for learning this advanced technique at SKIMS. The workshop will be followed by main conference at SKICC on 1st and 2nd June 2013 where deliberations will be held in different sessions on advances in joint replacement surgeries, spine and pediatric Orthopaedics, sports injuries, advances in management of trauma, Orthopaedic oncology, reconstructive surgeries etc.
The conference will be attended by more than 500 delegates comprising international and national faculty of repute from UK, Australia, Switzerland and Germany and from different parts of India.
